It all began with
10 people on a back porch…

Now, 11 years later, Casa de Mi Gloria has planted a total of 9 campuses, serving more than 3,000 people on
any given Sunday...all while meeting
under a tent!

Build hope

Ryan Moore, Builders International Director

"Nathan and Christine Alfaro are the type of missionaries and leaders you can’t help but love. They work hard and God is blessing their efforts! I am excited for the opportunity to be part of the Casa de Mi Gloria story! We invite you to be a part of the story as well!"
the FACTS
Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in the western hemisphere with the average worker making less than $300 per month. Casa de Mi Gloria is reaching the lost and has planted 3 churches that need help finishing their first permanent facility.
the DESCRIPTION
Casa de Mi Gloria began 11 years ago on the back porch of a home with 10 people. Today, this church has planted a total of 9 campuses, serving more than 3,000 people on any given Sunday throughout Nicaragua. The original Managua campus currently meets under a tent, with 4 services on Sundays with more than 1500 in attendance (post-Covid.) Church planting is in their DNA! This project will help 3 Casa de Mi Gloria church plants finish their first permanent facility.
the BENEFITS
A permanent building says to the community…”we are here to stay.” This project gives each local church credibility in their community and will help establish them with the tools they need to win and disciple more people in their community. Your partnership will encourage and empower the local church congregations.
“Church planting is in our DNA. We have been a part of church planting our entire missionary career...it is in our blood!” - Christine Alfaro

Meet The Alfaro Family!

Nathan and Christine Alfaro are AGWM missionaries, serving as pastors of Casa de Mi Gloria church in Managua, Nicaragua.

Nathan’s parents were missionaries to Mexico, so he grew up on the mission field. Christine was also raised as a missionary kid, first in Guatemala, then to Nicaragua. They both studied at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas.

Together they serve in many different capacities, such as founding a marriage ministry known as Defensores Del Pacto. They also oversee the El Camino Children's Center, as well as the Lighthouse Christian Academy bilingual Christian school, among wearing many other hats!

Pastors Nathan and Christine have been married for 21 years. They have three beautiful daughters, Alexa, Emily, and Isabela, and one son, Lucas.
All seems hopeless in Nicaragua…
  • Second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Average salary is $300 per month.
  • New church plant growth is limited without a permanent facility.
  • Construction costs are high.

“There is an element of fear with each church plant. You don’t know how it will turn out.” - Nathan Alfaro

Why Nicaragua? Why Now?
  • The people are receptive to the Gospel and there is favor with the government!
  • The people are tenacious and work hard planting and growing the church!
“We are for everything God is doing, but want to focus on what God is doing through the local church. We are in love with the local church!” - Nathan Alfaro

A PERMANENT BUILDING FOR A NEW CHURCH PLANT WILL:

  • Establish the local church…a permanent building says we are here to stay.
  • Encourage the local church...as they reach the goal of finishing their church building.
  • Empower the local church...with credibility in the community.
  • Equip the local church...to win and disciple more people!
